International Women's Day Fun Run presented by Queensland X-Ray

I’m part of the International Women’s Day Fun Run!

I’m taking part in the Mater Chicks in Pink International Women’s Day Fun Run and raising funds to support women with breast cancer, now and into the future.

This year, it’s especially close to my heart. I’m running in support of someone very dear to me who was diagnosed at the end of 2024 with lobular carcinoma affecting the breast and lymph nodes. Watching their journey has shown me just how much practical support can mean during treatment and recovery.

Your donation helps provide real, tangible support, including counselling services and practical items like mastectomy bras and wigs following surgery and chemotherapy. It also supports world-leading research focused on improving treatments, increasing survival rates, and working towards a future where every woman diagnosed with breast cancer survives.

Even a small donation makes a difference. As little as $65 can help take some of the pressure off women and their families. If you’re able to, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.

  • Thanks to your support, Jacqueline Lawton has raised enough for 1.5 hours of research lab time.
